Don Hart Radiators Demonstrates LizardSkin at The Paint Spot

Don Hart Radiators recently partnered with LizardSkin to offer hot rod enthusiasts a demonstration of its thermal ceramic insulation and sound damping coatings. About forty people from around the Canyon Lake, TX area gathered at The Paint Spot body shop to see LizardSkin Technician Dean Adams of Don Hart Radiators demonstrate the coatings in action. Dean demonstrated how well LizardSkin Ceramic Insulation, also known as LizardSkin CI, reduces heat by warming up a hot plate which was half way insulated with CI, and then placing ice on both the insulated and non insulated sides of the plate. The ice stayed intact on the side of the hot plate coated with the Ceramic Insulation coating while melting instantly on the untreated side.

Dean also touted the effectiveness of the LizardSkin Sound Control coating, also known as LizardSkin SC, by ringing a bell insulated with the sound damping coating and ringing a similar untreated bell, revealing a major reduction in sound with the bell coated with LizardSkin SC.

Attendees were also able to see just how easy LizardSkin’s application is when Dean sprayed the coatings directly onto the inside top of a 1972 Ford Bronco. They were excited about LizardSkin’s performance and were eager to get back to their shops and use the coatings to give themselves a cooler and quieter ride.
